Granby House Holiday Apartments, Apartment 1, Ground Floor, Old Town, 5 minutes walk to South Bay Beach, Free On Street Parking

What can I say. From before we even turned up at the apartment the owners were more than helpful. They left scratch cards for parking, which unfortunately we didn’t use as spaces were limited so we just left the car in a car park all weekend. Wasn’t a problem as this is what we were originally planning to do. Hopefully the next guests could make use of them. As soon as we walked in it felt welcoming, bright and clean. We visit Scarborough a few times a year and this is by far the best place we have stayed. It’s only a few minutes walk into town so everything is accessible. Hopefully next time we visit the apartment will be available as this is definitely my go to accommodation.

Wasn’t a dislike but I felt guilty not being able to wipe my feet when I’d been in the back yard so maybe a mat placed there. In fact if I’d had a hoover and mop I’d have cleaned the floors before we left as well 😂

The location was perfect, close to the train station, the high street, both the North & South beaches, Peasholm park etc. ... It was a very quiet street & felt safe. It was clean & fairly comfortable.

The sofa was a little low & deep for us with not enough back cushions for the 3 of us & we found the bed a little low (our personal preference) we couldn't find the spare set of keys near the back door as stated? The decor looked clean but not very well done & the walls were very sparse (could be simply decorated with a few more pictures & cushions to make it a little more homely). The shower head wasn't that great but it did the job. Would have liked a full ironing board instead of a table top one (which had to be used on the breakfast bar & was a little too high for me, also tried putting water in the steam iron but instead of steam, water just poured out?

Great location . Nice furniture . Very clean with good facilities. Nice to have somewhere to sit out in the sunshine too.
