Ok.
The house is in a lovely location facing Peasholm park, very close to a way into the park, with its lake, boast, and cafe. It is large. First impressions on arrival were that it was clean and welcoming. There were some useful safety gates. Previous reviews mentioned a smelly fridge -there are two fridges. The main fridge is clean and fine-we kept our food in that-the second fridge is a bit smelly-but we just kept beers/wine in that. There was a good number of plates, glasses and cutlery, and the kitchen was well equipped. People said the house was damp- I didn't really find that-I think there is what looks like condensation patches on one bedroom wall (the first floor next to the bathroom-probably needs better ventilation). People have mentioned the decking is rotten-it is. We didnt use this area. They have also mentioned that two sockets are not fitted into the wall properly in one of the lounges-which is true. Added to this the curtains in one of the upstairs bedrooms were mouldy, and the cover on the front of the electric shower in the upstairs ensuite fell off mid shower-so all the water could go into the electric -which clearly doesn't sound very safe. Overall the house was warm, and fitted a large group.
