Host & Stay - North Marine House

On arrival, we found lots of little little essentials that could be overlooked. It was great to find tea, coffee and milk sachets, a tea towel, a little bar of soap for hand washing and a loo-roll. These were great as we could get refreshed before heading to the shops. The location, with views over the cricket ground, was great and handy for the local area as we had travelled by train. The apartment was thoughtfully styled and comfortable, really good value for money.

These are all small things but the shower found it difficult to settle on a comfortable temperature and it wasn't very powerful. Oven gloves would be helpful too as we saved money by eating in a few times. Also, a couple of wine glasses wouldn't go amiss, it was nice to see champagne flutes though!

It was all so easy. I've stayed in this building previously and this stay was just as good. Excellent stay and will be back!

Location great for concert at Open Air Theatre. View of cricket ground from little balcony was bonus Comfy bed and sofa, large TV with Netflix, Smart well equipped kitchen. Overall smart, clean appearance. Very quiet and peaceful (Apart from Seagulls!😂)

Shower, couldn't regulate temperature. Also because bathroom was wet room made it messy and slippy with not enough mats or towels to soak up water on floor. No drawers or shelves to store clothes/toiletries. No dressing table or anywhere to put stuff when getting ready and plug point too far away from mirror. Blinds at window wouldn't open or pull up so always a bit dark during day. Just a few small details that would make a good rating into an excellent one.

The Apartment was very DIRTY. Cobwebs every where with dust on them. Wrote clean me on shelf beside bed. Carpets needed good hover.. Bathroom needed a very very good clean. Toilet cysteine all brow below water level. Smear marks on Microwave and T.V Decking outside needed cleaning.. And to have paid £50 for cleaning on top of price was a bitter pill to swallow. Was told it was an oversight, I don't think so . I was talking to people in Apartment next to us and they said they had complained about the cleaning in Their apartment on first day.. Thought at least they might of given us something back for lack of cleaning. Sorry one other thing there is two small trees growing between two extensions one of which we were in and it happened to be a bit windy so the trees were rubbing against the the cutters and roof which kept us awake half the night. Poor maintenance IAM afraid It would appear know one is check on who is cleaning extra..
