Maybank in Muirshearlich, Scottish Highlands, sleeps eight guests in four rooms.
The Space:
Maybank is a gorgeous, single-storey, detached home with four bedrooms including a king-size with en-suite shower room, a double and two twins. There’s also a shower room, a kitchen/diner, a dining room, a sitting room with an open fire, and a conservatory. Appliances include an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. For entertainment there is a TV, WiFi, a selection of books, DVD with a selection of DVDs and CD player. Outside, you can find a spacious, enclosed garden with a lawn, patio and picnic table, along with private, off-road parking for three cars. A travel cot and highchair are available and a membership for the Fort William Leisure Centre, fuel, power, a starter pack for open fire, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Two well-behaved pets are welcome but sorry, this is a smoke-free property. You can find a shop and pub within 2.8 miles. There are two steps up to the property and a burn near the property garden, children and pets must be supervised. Check-in from 4pm and check-out by 10am. Choose Maybank for a memorable break amongst mountains.
The Neighborhood:
Caol, pronounced "cool", is a picture-perfect lochside village resting between Fort William and Gulvain mountain. The village is known for its dramatic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, and the Caledonian Canal, which passes through the north-west of the village, and offers an easy route to nearby attractions including Caol beach, Neptune's Staircase and Old Inverlochy Castle. Dining options include two takeaways, Sammy's Fish & Chip Shop, and The Golden River Takeaway, along with The Lochy, a traditional pub and restaurant, while you can stock up on essentials at the nearby convenience store. Within easy reach of the town is the popular town of Fort William, where you can find further attractions and outdoor activities such as the famous Ben Nevis, Steall Waterfall, and plenty of museums and visitor centres in the surrounding areas.
