The gate entrance to the property was secure - we were given a key code on the morning before we arrived. The key to the property was in the door, ready for us to enter. We stayed in Kingfisher, which had amazing views over Loch Dochart to the front, and Ben More at the back. The property had a well-equipped kitchen and the whole lodge was really clean and tidy. Beds and bedrooms very comfortable. It was very peaceful - and the bird feeders really enhanced that, with plenty of visiting birds - better watching those than the TV. We had a fabulous stay - the only regret was that we should have booked for a longer stay.
Part of the drive up to our property was very rough track - but mostly the driveways around the lodges were tarmac. After the heatwave, we hoped for better weather, but we were in Scotland and so got Scottish weather - not that it affected us too much, or spoilt our one week break.
