About this cottage rental
Discover the charm of this three-bedroom cottage situated in Orford on the Suffolk coast. It offers an ideal holiday retreat for a family or group of friends, with its contemporary styling, patio garden and castle views.
Inside, the welcoming lounge features stylish decor, vibrant artwork, and French doors that bathe the space in natural light. Large sofas and armchairs create an inviting atmosphere for conversations with loved ones, offering views of the garden and castle. A dining table for six overlooks the lounge, and the well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed to prepare delicious meals. Adjacent to the living space, a separate sitting area is an ideal spot for holiday reading or accommodating two additional guests on the pull-out sofa bed. A convenient shower room is also located on this floor. Climb the stairs to discover the three bedrooms on the first floor: a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double, and a twin. Two of the bedrooms offer splendid views towards Orford Castle, and there's a family bathroom too. Completing the interior, a utility room houses an additional single bed in the eaves. Step outside and be captivated by the majestic sight of the 12th-century castle, where the patio, surrounded by trees and shrubs, provides an idyllic space to unwind with a refreshing drink at the end of the day.
Conveniently close to Orford’s amenities, the estuary, and the sea, this cottage provides easy access to a recreation area adjacent to the property. Orford Castle, directly opposite and accessible via the property's castle path, awaits exploration, and the energetic can climb to the castle's top for sweeping views over the town and marshes. Nature enthusiasts can venture 0.5 miles to the quay, embark on a boat trip to cross to the Orford Ness National Nature Reserve or Havergate Island, and spend the day hiking along trails while birdwatching. Alternatively, head 7 miles to Rendlesham Forest and explore the woodland on foot, bike, or horseback.
