For a sunny seaside trip, book a stay at this three-storey beachside cottage with spectacular views over the water in beautiful Aldeburgh. This charming Victorian resort town is a wonderful holiday destination, with its independent shops, sweet pubs and cafes, and gorgeous sand and shingle beach, all within 100 metres of your front door. With room for up to seven over its three bedrooms (and two dogs welcome, too) this delightful holiday home right on the seafront is perfect for a multi-generational family trip or holiday among friends and their children.
Combining traditional features with cheerful coastal-themed decoration, this spacious holiday home has a welcoming, homely atmosphere. After windswept and sun-kissed days, head to the lounge for cosy film nights while your pets snooze on the rug. A lovely brick feature fireplace and stunning bay window, kitted out with a dining table so you can absorb the sea view, complete the space. In the modern country kitchen, on the lower ground floor, there’s a larger dining table creating an alternative spot for enjoying meals. The three welcoming bedrooms are all upstairs; one of which benefits from a lovely balcony for those fresh-air-soaked mornings.
There’s lots to do nearby, whether that’s exploring the wildlife-rich marshland of the River Alde estuary (0.5 miles), boating in nearby Slaughden (0.5 miles) or day-tripping to pretty coastal villages like Thorpeness (2.5 miles). Since Aldeburgh is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the scenery is guaranteed to be spectacular whatever you do. Discover some local history at the Red House (1.5 miles) where the composer Benjamin Britten lived for two decades. Further afield, the popular seaside resort of Southwold (18.5 miles), with its lighthouse and pier, is highly recommended.
