Arranged over two storeys, this gorgeous cottage has plenty of charm and character with beamed ceilings, original fireplaces and wooden panelling combined with period-style furniture and bespoke soft furnishings. Set beneath a beamed ceiling, the lounge invites relaxed evenings of laughter and chatter with an assortment of comfortable seating arranged around a TV and gas-fired wood burner. An open archway leads through to a spacious kitchen/diner featuring contemporary amenities, a breakfast bar and a farmhouse-style dining table – ideal for shared meals and gatherings. Sleeping arrangements comprise three warm and welcoming bedrooms on the first floor, one king-size and two twins. A first-floor family bathroom and ground-floor shower room offer comfort and convenience for all. Outside, savour a morning cuppa or evening sundowner in the small courtyard, which has a bistro table and chairs.
In addition to its coastal delights, Aldeburgh has a vibrant art and music scene with sculptures on the beach and an annual literary festival held each March. In June, nearby Snape Maltings (6.5 miles) conducts a classical music festival, though there’s plenty to see here throughout the year, too. The area is rich in nature, with RSPB Minsmere (8.5 miles) and RSPB North Warren (2 miles) among many options. There’s plenty for history enthusiasts too, including Framlingham Castle (14 miles) and Sutton Hoo (15.5 miles).
