Very dated property which could be lovely if some money was invested in it, having stayed in many many similar properties whilst working away for months at a time we like to find a nice home to stay in so we can then book for the entirety of our stay, a home from home, but this one is not for us I am afraid, starting at the front door, which opens fine if you give it a good old push and closes fine if you give it a bit of a push, i think it is because it is a UPVC door which has been hand painted and painted over the seals, one of the seals was hanging down off of the frame, as you open the front door immediately you are greeted by rising damp on the wall with plaster crumbling. The living room had a lovely soft clean rug, the sofa was worn and dated and it had the smallest television i had ever seen, my monitor on my laptop is about the same size, the large window gives an abundance of light into the room, however you feel on show as the street is very busy with both cars and pedestrians, there is no blind and we did not want to close the curtains as they did not look very secure as parts of the curtains were bunched up and looked like if we disturbed them they may come down, the laminate flooring is very tired and is worn through in the entrance to the kitchen, we didnt use the dining room or kitchen during our stay and chose to eat at the office instead but what we did see looked clean enough but again dated, a fusty damp smell was apparent throughout the ground floor, the windows were all open on arrival and we suspected this was to air the property. the window handles on the ground floor were very loose and unable to leave the windows on the catch they were either open or closed. the downstairs bathroom was sufficient for what was required but all the skirtings and floor finishes are very worn and rough, No toilet paper or toilet roll holder in the downstairs bathroom. The stairs are very very steep, the carpets are passed their best and have no underlay
