Dimora del Gattopardo Cefalù

De centrale ligging, de ruimte, hoe netjes en schoon het was en de host was zeer behulpzaam!

The location of this property is fabulous, right in the heart of the old town of Cefalu near the cathedral. It's decorated in the style of Il Gattopardo and the finishing touches really bring it to life compared to the banal sterility of some accommodations we've seen. The facilities are great, on the ground level there is a kitchen/living area, fully furnished with all you need, and a small bathroom. Upstairs is a lovely double bedroom, with a full shower room, toilet bidet, washing machine etc, and a little balcony with pretty chairs, perfect for that morning coffee. The apartment was immaculately clean with fresh bedding and towels. There was a beach umbrella in the apartment for guest use, also an iron and a hairdryer. The host Michele, was very helpful, reactive and available, he met us on site to check in and demonstrated how operate the aircon, coffee machine etc. There was an unexpected welcome gift of local sweets, water, and a bottle of fizz. Check out was easy too, simply leave the tourist tax and keys on the kitchen table and close the door behind you.

I want to stress that the following additional comments are NOT "dislikes" but simply some observations that may help others. The internal staircase between ground and first floors is quite narrow/steep especially with a big suitcase. The mattress on the upstairs bed was quite hard in my opinion (but that is personal preference). The hot water didn't last very long and it ran cold before the end of my shower most times.

Emplacement excellent à deux pas du Duomo et à 400 des plages, dans une rue pittoresque et sans bruit du vieux Cefalu. Logement sur deux niveaux, très bien équipés et climatisé, propreté parfaite, décoration soignée. Balcon. Habitat à 16 minutes de la gare. Michele est un propriétaire hyper-sympa et attentionné.
