The house is a quaint old building, quite large and renovated to include modern conveniences. One of the very few places that had a coffee machine! The owner had even included a nice note offering the coffee to make up for the lack of coffee shops nearby -- such a nice touch! The doorways are quite low, so watch your head; I am including it as a plus because it enhanced the authenticity of the experience of living in an old Japanese house :-).
The location makes it a bit inconvenient to reach, as there is a steep hill to navigate enroute. It is also a few minutes' walk from the railway station, and there is no convenience store or supermarket nearby.
