Newly renovated with an air of comfort, one can enjoy the convenience of being close to the streetcar, Audubon Park and the universities.
The space
This cozy two story mini building offers use of a lovely patio, airy sleeping quarters, lots of daylight, private entrance. It holds 2 comfortably. The photographs make it appear larger than it is. Each floor is 11 x 15 feet.
The bathroom is only separated by a curtain. Therefore the space might suit better a couple or one person.
Guest access
There is a private entrance by side gate. Guests will have a kitchen counter with mini fridge, bar sink and coffee/tea maker. The patio is shared with the owner of the main house.
Other things to note
This space is very much an open floor plan. The bedroom is not walled off. It is upstairs on the second floor. There is a curtain between the bed and bathroom. Downstairs is a couch bed and lounge area. There are no doors or walls on either floor except exterior ones. The interior staircase is a small spiral one that is 18 inches wide. The exterior staircase that extends from the 2nd floor to the patio is regular sized.
What makes this property appealing is that it is like a treehouse. Filled with light, the upstairs looks out onto the treetops and neighborhood pools. The structure is 100 years old and has the original windows. Walking distance to Audubon Park, one can jog or stroll among the 200 year old oaks dripping with Spanish moss.
