Makadam Hotel

What I loved most about this hotel was the atmosphere and the people who run it. It’s a wonderful boutique hotel run by an incredibly friendly and welcoming family who genuinely go out of their way to make your stay special. They helped us with absolutely everything — gave us recommendations, showed us around, explained what to see and where to go, drove us places when we needed it, and were always there whenever we had a question. At one point, the owner even invited me for a beer, showed me around the hotel and told me its whole story. We honestly felt more like we were staying with family than at a hotel. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, the interior has a lot of character, and the location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Prizren’s old town, but slightly up on the hillside, so you also get beautiful views over the surrounding area from the hotel. I really can’t think of anything more you could ask for. An absolutely wonderful place and, above all, wonderful people.

The only thing that could perhaps make the stay even better would be having breakfast available at the hotel. That said, I completely understand that the hotel simply doesn’t have the facilities for it. The owners immediately recommended some excellent nearby places serving fantastic breakfasts at very reasonable prices, and the closest one is literally a two-minute walk away, so in practice it wasn’t an inconvenience at all.

I had a wonderful stay at Makadam hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful with information about things to do in Prizren. The recommended breakfast was great. The location is really good, close to everything. The view from the balcony is so beautiful and i really enjoyed watching the sunset. The rooms are clean. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Prizren.
