Sunny Ridge was originally built in the 1970s but completely redesigned and renovated in 2023 by Highland architects to create a modern, open-plan, sustainable bungalow, which maximises natural light and takes advantage of the stunning views of the mountains surrounding Loch Ness.
Located in the pretty village of Fort Augustus, it is only a 5-minute walk from the village centre and shores of Loch Ness. It has a maximum occupancy of 6, with 3 bedrooms offering one king-size bed, one double, and a bunk bed. The property is set in a quarter of an acre hillside garden, with ample parking for several vehicles.
The entrance has built-in cupboards with generous shoe and hanging storage space and ironing board. A utility room offers washing machine, dryer and clothes pulley. There is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and separate shower room. The contemporary kitchen/diner has electric hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher; and both breakfast bar seating and dining table. Sliding doors from the kitchen lead to a terrace where garden furniture and Kadai BBQ provide outdoor living space, and steps lead to the lower garden. Please note that guests are required to provide their own logs for the BBQ which can be purchased locally. The kitchen/diner opens into the living room, where a double height sitting room with apex window affords magnificent views and lighting, and smart TV. A separate room is available for use as an office, for those who need to work while at the property. Wi-Fi is available. Air source heat pump provides both heating and hot water, and a blanket box is available in the living room for guests who like to be extra cosy.
