About this house rental
Monastery 17 is a beautiful top floor apartment , overlooking Loch Ness , just perfect for monster spotting
Sleeps up to 7 with 2 bedrooms , a sofa bed in the lounge and a fold out chair with 2 bathrooms , All linen included
The main bathroom is the star of the show , As you can bath overlooking Loch Ness , it has the largest window on site for the most spectacular view . Simply Breathtaking
There is also free wi-fi and BT Vision in the apartment with Netflix films
The Kitchen is very compact but has everything you should need, including a cooker & hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc.

A point to note : due to the history nature of the building , there is no lift , And being on the top floor, there are a number of steps , but well worth it !

It was perfect. Could not habe imagined a better place to stay. Being able to look out on Loch Ness every morning when bathing was an amazing experience. Location to walk around town was excellent.

The property was everything it promised! Views of the loch were exceptional. The kitchen and living area was welcoming, and we cooked several meals together. Made use of the swimming pool, which was outstanding! Would have liked to have had pool towels and or robes in the unit for use at the pool. Would’ve liked to have had some extra trash bags as we took out our own trash but had no trash bags to replace. Loved the charm of the whole property, walked all around on the trails. It is well manicured and maintained. Very clean and obviously well taken care of. Overall, we were very pleased with the property and would definitely stay there again.

I had a fun stay at the monastery in Fort Augustus along with my wife and 3 kids. The property itself is beautiful and the activities for the kids were exactly what we came for. Whether it's spending time at the pool/sauna/steam room or playing chess in the courtyard. The apartment was well furnished and fit all of us well. The Spar in town allows you to pick up food (more than just necessities). Great communication with the team who run the property leading up to our arrival and then again at our departure.

The Abbey Boat House is stunning location with great facilities but M17 was frankly a little tired, nothing wrong with the amenities provided (although the TV is a challenge) but the joints are opening up on many of the the walls, which are in need of a lick of paint, making the place look scruffier than it is should. Also, the bedrooms are in real need of black out curtains, being woken at dawn on holiday is not my idea of a relaxing break.
