Oxford Central City Brand New Elegant 1 Bedroom Flat

The location is excellent. The Thames River is nearby as well as Oxford University and a beautiful park. The Oxford Blue Gift Shop is awesome and who wouldn’t love the Alice in Wonderland store?! Groceries are available a short walk away. There are two great places to eat literally right next door. My husband got a great haircut at the barber shop on the corner.

This place has the potential to be great! But, first impressions make that so hard to see. There was no garden view. Right outside our front windows was four overfilled trash cans that were never emptied for the whole 11 days we were there. The side front windows offered a view of construction debris. The back view was that of a car repair shop and bricks with grass growing through it. When you get inside the first door, there is a stack of mail from who knows when. A vacuum cleaner is desperately needed for that area. The bed and couch were terribly uncomfortable. There was a half eaten cookie in the cabinet. The comforter and sheets were unclean. Thankfully, after reading other reviews, we brought our own. There are no regular size brooms, mops or vacuums to use. The outlets put out so little power that even if you charge your phone overnight, it will not be fully charged. We were able to get a booster at the mall that helped with this. When you are dependent on your phone for directions, a dead phone makes for a bad situation. Same with when you are a student and can’t charge your computer to do your assignments. All of this being said, I hate stating problems without offering solutions. I hope the owners read this. 1. Update the listing and take out the word luxurious. It is cozy. 2. Get those trash cans moved. You have to open the windows since there is no air conditioning and there is just no easy trade off when one has to choose between being hot or the smell. 3. Put an outdoor table and chairs there with a couple of flower pots. It would be so welcoming. 4. Clean the entry way. It would be super cool if you had umbrellas hanging there for your guests to borrow and maybe a table with the city brochures on it. 5. Add some flower pots out back so that when the guests look outside there is something that looks a little like a garden. 6. Open the windows before guest arrive to let the place air out. 7.
