Las Gardes - Peace, space and privacy in the heart of Quercy Blanc

At the end of a dead-end country road, between Lauzerte and Montaigu-de-Quercy, lies Las Gardes: an authentic, detached gîte nestled in the heart of a gently rolling landscape of fields, valleys, and orchards. Here you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet, complete privacy, and a private swimming pool.

You’ll be renting the larger of the two gîtes; the other house is used by us, but never during your stay. The one-hectare property and the secluded 10 x 5-meter pool are therefore entirely yours alone. The orchard, with its cherry, walnut, peach, and pomegranate trees, offers a sweeping, leafy view.

The gîte is a single-story structure and features a spacious living room, three bedrooms, and a generous kitchen-diner in a former stable, preserved entirely in its original state with original tile floors and beams. Through double garden doors, you can step right out into the intimate, south-facing courtyard or onto the private grounds. Around the house and pool, you’ll always find both sunny and shaded seating areas.

Wi-Fi and television are intentionally absent: Las Gardes is a place to unwind. At night, owls, bats, or a curious fox sometimes share the scene.

Its location in Quercy Blanc—also known as the French Tuscany—makes this an ideal base for exploring markets, bastide villages, and medieval towns, far away from mass tourism.
