Visitor’s tax/lodging tax of the Hanseatic City of Wismar (5%):
The Hanseatic City of Wismar levies a visitor’s tax/lodging tax of 5% on the travel price of the booked accommodation. This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of people, guests of the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

Our Apartment "Pier One" is located on the 2nd floor of the "Schifferhus" and is one of the few age-appropriate, barrier-free vacation apartments equipped with an elevator in the Hanseatic City of Wismar. The "Schifferhus" was newly built in 2012 and is surrounded by imposing old warehouses, the former treehouse, and the customs house.
This modern apartment offers 52 square meters of space for 2 to 4 people of all ages. It consists of a living area with an open kitchen, a bedroom, and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower (at ground level). From the living area, you step out onto a loggia where you can enjoy the maritime atmosphere up close in the open air. Here, you can watch the fishermen unload their catch, take in the colorful hustle and bustle on the traditional sailing ships, or simply enjoy the sunset over Wismar Bay.
Amenities include an elevator in the building’s hallway, wider doors, and a barrier-free walk-in shower. The apartment also includes a free parking space right next to the building. A flat-rate Wi-Fi connection is available to you free of charge. A washing machine is also available, ideal for longer stays.
Please understand that pets are not allowed in the apartment.
Pier One is a non-smoking apartment. However, you are welcome to smoke in the covered outdoor area on the loggia.
Take a harbor tour or a short trip on one of the excursion boats to the nearby island of Poel; or walk through the Wassertor in just a few minutes to reach the bar district on the Lohberg or Wismar’s historic old town with its Gothic quarter, which has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002.
Outside the city, there are many beaches within a 15-minute drive. Nearby cities: Lübeck, Rostock, Schwerin, Kühlungsborn.
