Visitor’s Tax/Overnight Stay Tax of the Hanseatic City of Wismar (5%):
The Hanseatic City of Wismar levies a visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax of 5% on the travel price of the booked accommodation. This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of people, guests of the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

Our gorgeous vacation apartment “Hobenbeseuk” (Harbor Visit), approximately 100 m², features 3 large rooms and is suitable for up to 5 guests. Thoughtful details, high-quality furnishings, and a spacious loggia with a sea view create the perfect vacation atmosphere. The apartment is accessible by elevator and is designed to be barrier-free.
The living room is spacious and features a comfortable seating area. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the harbor basin, Wismar Bay, or the Old Town skyline from anywhere in the apartment.
The kitchen, integrated into the living room, ensures you don’t have to do without the comforts of home even while on vacation. It features a stove, a ceramic cooktop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, and plenty of dishes. The kitchen area flows seamlessly into the open-concept dining area. The large table is not only perfect for enjoying meals together but also encourages pleasant conversations.
You can relax after the day’s adventures in two separate bedrooms; the sofa in the living room can comfortably serve as a sleeping area for a fifth person. A crib is also available upon request.
The spacious bathroom features a toilet, a comfortable sink, and a modern shower. And if the weather isn’t cooperating, you can relax in your own sauna on cooler days (for a fee, €6.00 / 2 hours). There is also a washing machine (for a fee, €4.00 per load) in the vacation rental.

From the spacious, sheltered loggia, you can watch the hustle and bustle on the harbor’s promenade, enjoy the view of the picturesque harbor basin with its boats of all sizes, and unwind with a glass of wine.
The vacation rental includes its own parking space, located right at the entrance (marked: Schifferhus No. 9).
Take a stroll along the Old Harbor promenade, breathe in the fresh sea air, let your gaze wander out to the sea, and then stop by the numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops along the harbor promenade at Lohberg or in the tranquil Old Town.
Activities
Right in front of your house are the passenger ship docks, where you can take a harbor tour or a trip to the island of Poel. The beaches in the immediate vicinity of the city are perfect for swimming, and when the weather is bad, a visit to the “Wonnemar” water park—which is open year-round—is well worth it. Tips for families: the zoo, the “Mumpitz” indoor playground, and the farmhouse barn in Bürgerpark.
Wismar’s historic old town is an UNESCO World Heritage Site; there’s always plenty to discover here, especially for fans of Brick Gothic architecture.
