This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of people, guests of the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

"Zur Bademutter" Vacation Rental
Right in the heart of the city, directly next to the Löwenapotheke pharmacy in the Hanseatic city of Wismar, is this distinctive vacation rental, which we are offering to our guests starting this year.
The term “Bademutter” (“Bademoeme”) in northern Germany dates back to the 16th century and refers to a midwife.
The apartment is located on the first floor of a historic townhouse where you can feel the spirit of the past centuries. In the courtyard, visitors can experience a typical Wismar courtyard of a furniture workshop from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century in its original form, bordered by a late-medieval courtyard wall covered in ivy that separates it from the Löwenapotheke.

Until recently, the vacation rental was a shop with a live studio; the showroom facing the street is available to our guests for parking their bicycles, as a shelter for children during bad weather, or for similar purposes. The apartment itself is located directly behind the showroom and opens onto the inner courtyard, which is available for guests’ use.
The accommodation includes a garage on Schulstraße, located less than 50 meters away.
