The vacation home is located in a quiet waterfront setting, yet still close to downtown. Popular recreational activities, almost all within walking distance, offer plenty of variety: Lake Vecht, the zoo, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis, a skate park, a children’s playhouse, and museums. The “water city” of Nordhorn and its surroundings—the “Green County”—can be explored via boat trips through the canals, the connection to the bike path network, and canoe tours. The Netherlands, with its shopping opportunities, is also just a short distance away.
