Hotel Chalets Chamarel

The view from the chalets are absolutely breathtaking. Probably one of the best views you could have in Mauritius and being in the nature to relax is something we really needed to end our trip. The staff were lovely and accomodating and were there to help or if we had any questions. The room was also nice and had a cosy feel.

A few negatives of the stay. Firstly, there were limited options at breakfast I definitely think that there could be more buffet options, but the food still tasted good. Secondly, it’s a little inconvenient as the only way to contact reception is via WhatsApp and sometimes there would be a long wait for a reply. Also the TV system in our room did not work, it is rather outdated (although TV isn’t our main concern) but we would have liked to be able to watch a movie here and there. Lastly, the hotel is definitely out of the way which was not an issue for us but could be for some. The road to get up the mountain is difficult and takes time to get up to the hotel. Some more signs pointing toward the chalets would be good too as we got lost. All in all, our stay was great! Just some improvement points.

Fantastic service level, ideal location for a short stay with great views & walkable attractions

The evening menu was the same for all the time we were there (4 nights) with the half board choices (others were available but at a surcharge) was slightly limiting. A small criticism but overall the offering & quality was excellent.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Hotel Chalets Chamarel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The room was beautiful, comfortable, and had one of the most breathtaking views you could ever imagine, overlooking the stunning Le Morne and the Mauritius sea. Waking up to that view was truly unforgettable! The breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing, with delicious food and great service. The entire team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. If you're looking for a peaceful stay with one of the best views in Mauritius, I highly recommend Hotel Chalets Chamarel. It’s definitely a place you won’t forget! 🌴🌊⛰️

The view in my opinion was the hero of my stay at Chalets Chamarel.

The property started to look a bit tired after so many years. I could never get the TV to work properly, I had to get maintenance to come and fix the hose to the shower head, it was split and spraying water and if one looked closely you could tell that the maintenance upkeep needed a bit more attention. Walking to the restaurant could be a challenge for some as it’s uphill.
