Rooms in 3 bed house in Colchester with parking

Facilities were all clean. Cristiane was a good host, helpful and easy to communicate with - She offered me a room upgrade free of charge when a previous guest left a bigger room before my arrival. A fan was provided for my room as well as a toilet douche in the shared bathroom. Living room TV provided access to streaming sites and satellite channels, while the TV in my bedroom provided access to streaming sites. Furniture in the property was all comfortable. Less than 5 minutes walk to a bus stop that can take you to town centre. Lidl supermarket store within 10 minutes walk.

Wifi is available but slow and oftentimes would not work - Wifi is completely unusable on phones in the bedrooms as they are on the floor above the router. Limited selection of cookware. Fridge space limited, which is especially an issue if there are other guests. Entrance is small and the house and the bedrooms can only be accessed by climbing the stairs - Problematic for people with limited mobility and large amounts of luggage. Creaky floors may wake other guests up if one of them is downstairs during quiet hours.

I thought the accommodation offered bed and breakfast, but breakfast was not offered so we had to buy our own. The accommodation was fine as we had everything we needed, and we were happy staying there.

The half banister on the stairs made it difficult for us getting up and down the stairs as we are both in our mid to late 70s. The light over the stairs which is motion controlled was difficult for us Wayne having to go to the bathroom during the night.

Great host. Solid communication and well kept rooms and communal areas.
