Convenient to Wivenhoe House Hotel where we were attending a wedding.

There was a hard patch of chewing gum on one of the pillow cases……

we do visit Clapton on Sea quite a lot. We love the property and we definitely would book to stay there in the future. Everything was 100% and we was happy with our day.

The location is great. The property is within walking distance of the train station and there is a bus stop right in front of the house, so it’s easy to get around. There are pubs and cafés also within walking distance, as well as the co-op (grocery store). There was plenty of room in the apartment, which was clean. Everything was provided from bath towels, pots & pans, dishes, and bed linens. The host (Liam) and staff (Sally) are super responsive and accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay.

I liked everything about the property.

The location was great for our Majorettes’s competition over the weekend. It having two bedrooms was ideal.

The property cleaning and maintenance was not ideal at all. The fire alarm went off constantly when I turned the oven on to cook a pizza. My daughter cut her foot quite badly on some metal sticking out of the bottom of the shower tray. There was dust and cobwebs/spiders everywhere and the crockery was dirty. We washed everything before we used it. There were no tea towels but towels all over the place. We were told no.6 but we were in 6A, confusing. Then at 9.45pm, the no.6 AIRBNB people arrived and kept trying to get into our door as they couldn’t find their key safe! They disturbed us and I had to go outside and investigate the knocking and tell them to go to the Red Door.
