The apartment is a great, well-equipped space that has been thoughtfully laid out. It was very clean, perfectly located, and offered excellent value for the price. Additionally, the check-in instructions provided were clear and easy to follow.

The Keynest location for pick-up and drop-off is a bit of a walk from the property, which can be inconvenient with luggage. Please note that the unit is on the 5th floor with no elevator. I also noticed that the hallway/communal walls outside the room are deteriorating and had a noticeable odor.

Let’s start with the positives - the host! They are responsive, provide clear and detailed instructions, and are happy to share helpful tips on places to visit and things to do.

Now for the reality check, this studio is not for everyone. First, the check-in and check-out process is not easy. The keys are kept in a locker about 12 minutes away from the studio, and the place itself is roughly a 20-minute walk from the train station (especially if you’re coming directly from the airport). This means walking to collect the keys, then walking again to the studio with luggage, followed by climbing up five flights of stairs, which can be difficult. The studio itself, as some previous reviewers mentioned, is “functional,” but it is much smaller than expected. I’ve stayed in studios before, but this one felt extremely tight. There were multiple times I hit my head while getting up from the couch. While the bed is comfortable, the low ceiling and bunk-bed setup can feel quite claustrophobic, especially if you’re jet-lagged. I personally couldn’t sleep on the bed at all and ended up sleeping on the relatively narrow couch throughout my stay. Climbing up and down to the bed is also not very convenient; the steps are more like narrow rods rather than proper stairs, which makes it uncomfortable. As for the neighborhood, I was surprised by the contrast compared to other parts of Paris. It felt more congested, dense, and had a slightly uneasy vibe. While I didn’t witness any incidents, I would suggest that solo female travelers avoid walking alone at night. Interestingly, just a 15-minute walk toward Montmartre felt like a completely different environment, even during the daylight. Overall, I might recommend this place if you’re only looking for somewhere to crash and plan to be out for most of the day (12–15 hours). However, since I couldn’t sleep properly, I’m not sure it was worth it for me personally. I’m sure it may suit some travelers, but it wasn’t the right fit for me. The 5 points I’ve given is largely due to the host’s responsiveness and kindness.
