Résidence Bastille Liberty

Great space, great location. It comfortably fit our family of five, great location to walk to shops, restaurants and the Metro. The views from the windows were awesome too. The bathroom had soaps and shampoos provided which was very helpful.

The loft area got warm even with the AC on and leaving the blinds closed. Another fan or two for the bedrooms would have been helpful. The couch in the living room is really cute but not great for stretching out on as it’s quite small.

It had AC, something you will definitely need during this summer heat wave. Not great but definitely better than nothing at all. Only one unit for the whole apartment so one of the bedrooms got very hot. The security check in was a bit cumbersome but we felt safe, which is important. Location was good with lots of restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores in the area. Location was not within walking distance to all the main attractions but once we figured out the underground it was all good.

The TV never worked. We were in Paris and during the evening were hoping to catch a FIFA game. The landlord was not super responsive and when they did come they couldn’t get it to work either. Also had issues with the espresso machine but they were able to fix that. The washing machine dryer combo washed ok but never dried the clothes. We ended up having to hang things up everywhere. We also had to buy our own laundry detergent. It’s these little things that matter. One last thing - the couches smell and need replacing but it’s my impression they are being replaced.

We live in the south of France and spend 5-7 days in Paris 5 times a year. This is by far the best place we’ve stayed in Paris. Big, comfortable, great location and the air conditioning actually cools.

The bathroom sinks don’t drain that well.

L'accueil : le check in est lourd et dysfonctionnel, l'hôte répond de façon agressive ou tout simplement ne répond pas. L'état des meubles et de la vaisselle : par exemple :choix entre une poêle au revêtement cancérigène (voir photo) ou une poêle qui ne fonctionne pas sur la plaque à induction ! Canapés tachés, troués, table rayée. Je n'aurais sans doute pas critiqué tout ça si l'hôte ne multipliait pas les règles, consignes (en anglais) et appels au respect au lieu de veiller au confort de ses clients.
