It was lovely to be back at Highside Farmhouse after having spent many happy childhood holidays there.
The B&B lounge was lovely and cosy as the fire had been lit for us. Beds were comfy and we all slept well
I was disappointed not to have met our host. We knocked on the adjoining door when we heard movement but no one answered.
No WiFi code was provided.

We were the only guests there so had plenty of space in the comfortably arranged farm building - two bedrooms with a shared lounge / dining room. Comfortable bed, lovely thick duvet, hot shower, and comfortable sofas to relax on around the log burner.
I was a bit nervous driving along the long narrow access road (lonning) in case we met someone coming the other way - but we didn’t so that was fine, and the house was a bit cold when we first arrived (being cold & wet after a walk in the hills), but the radiators came on when we came back from our evening meal at the pub which was much more welcoming. We had a comfortable evening after that.

Pot hole road to get to it, but went the “better” route back out
