Anko Inn 鳳凰苑

Appartement magnifique très bien équipé ,

Le claquement des fenêtres du au vent ! Le chargement et déchargement des camions d’une entreprise voisine à l’appartement ( 7h du matin) 😩

This is a gorgeous two storey house in a lovely quiet area just behind the Higashi Hongan-ji temple. We are a family of 6 and so the living room fit an extra 2 beds for us - it would be even better to have that space for relaxing so it's perfect for 4 travellers. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet and downstairs is a kitchenette, dining area, entry, living (tamami mat area) and beautiful wooden bath looking out onto a small courtyard. There is a washer/dryer as well so that came in handy. We loved the traditional interiors and the location is so perfect - 10 minute walk from Kyoto station, 5 minute stroll to buses and subway and a 15 minute walk into central Kyoto. We will absolutely stay here again for our next trip!

Totally not the fault of the space at all but there is a luggage transfer business next door that is open 7 days a week and they do start work around 7am outside but that didn't worry us because we were up early anyway. Walden Woods is a fabulous coffee shop a short walk away and they open at 8am ;)
