There was only stairs no lift for the property

Location was very convenient! Nice bathroom and well equipped kitchen, responsive and friendly host.

One is required to send the pictures of the national ID or passport and a selfie with it via WatsApp, to the number different from the one listed on booking.com to receive the code to the key box . That does not sound very safe, and booking.com was also not helpful when asked to confirm the legitimacy of the request. This has to be handled better. The cleaning team should pay more attention, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. The sofa in the living room is barely holding together, is covered in spots and in general does not look very hygienic. Probably, time to exchange.

It's the perfect location - on Spitafields market, close to Liverpool st, Shoreditch, Brick ln. For that, it's a great value for money. Great size for a couple and all the equipment you could need is available. Contactless key pick up and drop off.

Biggest concern is that the apartment doesn't lock from the inside, which can be uncomfortable for women travelling solo. There was an awful smell of waste in the bathroom, hopefully an ad hoc / seasonal problem only. It's immediately above a pub so it is loud until later hours. It is an older building, so there are marks of life, including scratches on the walls and dirt on the window - it's completely fine but do not expect hotel-level cleanliness.
