Beautiful, Large, 4 double bedroom home in a quiet conservation area, Sleeps 8, Free parking,

The location was quiet ease to get to. Very clean. Nice granden. The host was very helpfull and was ready to help if needed.

All was fine

Nice large house with 4 big double bedrooms and parking. Plenty of space for 8 people. Nice big garden with lots of trees. In a very nice quiet area, albeit quite a way from the centre of town, but plenty of local supermarkets. Even has a room that can be used as an office.

We had a bit of an issue accessing the property due to the host giving out the wrong lockbox code but this was resolved with a phone call. It was a comfortable property but there was no (visible) “about this house” guide. The house had been cleaned but not that well to the extent that the previous renters had left their lunch in the garden table in 30C heat which required cleaning up! The bins outside were all full so there was nowhere to put food waste apart from the kitchen bin. We did manage to squeeze in bottles into a bin on the street (no idea if it was for the house, we assumed it was) which was already very full. The coffee machine was left uncleaned and full of mouldy coffee, and we couldn’t get it to work. The upstairs had a terrible smell like someone had spilt milk which in the hot weather was very unpleasant. The carpet obviously needs cleaning to get rid of that. It’s a shame as it could be a great place with just a bit more TLC. I had the impression there might have been a large group in before we stayed as the host said the cleaner would still be there at 3 so I’m wondering if they left the place in a mess (judging by the garden lunch remnants I expect so).
