Fulforth St Studio Apartments

Two night solo stay whilst in Nottingham for a friend's wedding. I wasn't looking for anything fancy as I knew I would be out most of the time. Room was a good size with a double bed and a full kitchenette with hobs, kettle, microwave, fridge and even an air-fryer. Clean room with good wifi. Conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from Nottingham city-centre so very handy for going out and access to the train station, shops etc...

Bathroom was super tiny and very cramped. To access the sink, you had to sit on the toilet. When I went to pull in the curtains, the pole collapsed. I tried to put it up but it appears the pole length did not match the hooks on the wall. When I asked for an early check-in, I was told I would have to pay £40. I refused. Accessing the property initially was a bit arduous with three different lock boxes to get through. There is no onsite reception. In saying that, any messages I sent were always answered promptly.

Cleanliness, good value for money, ease of access

Door to bathroom didn't feel very private with a frosted glass window but a see through gap all the way round the edge.

Good location, good sized clean rooms with lots of facilities. Comfy bed.

Absence of aircon or at a minimum, fans, meant every room was extremely hot. The only criticism I have about the property.

The location, the kitchen, the communication team.

The ventilation is very poor, the window didn’t open, there’s no AC, the room was bit smelly especially when you prepare food or open the refrigerator. The key lockbox was malfunctioning sometimes.
