We had a truly wonderful stay at Shakespeare's Retreat — it was everything we hoped for and more.
Clare was fantastic from the start, reaching out ahead of our arrival and personally greeting us, which immediately made us feel welcome and at ease.
The retreat itself is beautifully designed — a charming barn conversion full of character, yet thoughtfully equipped with all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable short stay. The bed was incredibly cosy, and we slept so well in such peaceful surroundings.
We especially loved how well everything had been planned, with plenty of plug sockets, a fully equipped space, and little touches that made it feel practical. Waking up to the quiet countryside views was simply magical.
It’s the perfect romantic getaway — relaxing, private, and only a short distance from Stratford-upon-Avon. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can return.
