It was cheap and pretty clean and amazing location

The hot water didn’t work the entire time we where there. There is no kitchen or washing line, it’s more of a ‘rooms only’ kind of stay but cheap and great location otherwise

was visible dust on surfaces like the headboard and lamp base, suggesting incomplete cleaning

Room lacked basic amenities like a kettle or complimentary water

The employees were decent and the location is really good

You get what you pay for really applies here. I also have to say that I think that not all rooms offer the same “experience”. On my first night, I was in a private room with a double bed, and the room itself was fine. The only thing is that I could smell beer from the person staying in the nextdoor room (not the hostel’s fault). However, the bathroom/ shower area was gross and so uncomfortable to use: no hand soap, no towels (not even for rent), no shelves nor hooks to put/ hang your things on, the shower and sink were kind of nasty, and it’s all open so at night it’s cold (January). I could also hear everything outside of my room, and to me it felt more like a squat than a proper hostel, but maybe that’s just me. On the second night however, I was in another room downstairs, a private also but with a single bed. And this is where things became worse… the room was simply not insulated/ a big crack underneath the door and again, since everything is open, the temperature of the room was equal to the temperature outside (at night: 9 degrees Celsius). I barely slept that night. I kept layering on more clothes and eventually had to sleep with my shoes on too. I eventually dozed off and was woken up at 4:30am by an intense smell of sewage coming into my room. I honestly wanted to cry lol, but I just ended up accepting the loss and booking somewhere else for the subsequent nights that I had already paid for. I sent a message to the hostel asking for a reimbursement, which they never even acknowledged. This hostel is still in its early days at the moment of my stay here so hopefully it will improve but I personally would not go back even if it were free. If you are going to stay here, my best advice would be to check out which room you’ll be put in, if you can.

We booked a double room with a private bathroom - Room C03 for $597 MXN. Great, firm foam bed. Thin pillows - may not be thick enough for some, but was good for me! Bed sheets were fresh, and did NOT smell like too much fragrance like so many places who use softeners! Huge plus for me as I get headaches from the chemical fragrance. Lovely sunny terrace with Acapulco chairs. Fantastic price for the location. AMAZING & friendly staff at front desk. Secure entry.

No towels available at all (even for a cost) - it was too cold for anything to dry overnight for our flight the next day so we didn't want to use anything we'd brought, so I can't comment on the shower. The blanket was VERY thin, so I had to sleep in a lot of layered clothes & socks to be warm enough (we travelled in Jan). There was a bit of construction dust & plaster still. Very thin walls, we could easily hear everyone - light sleepers bring ear plugs. Light was kept on in the hall and our curtain did not block the light, we ended up hanging some clothing to help. No hooks on walls or doors to hang towel/clothing/bags etc. No door handle to hold while trying to lock the door, was a bit tricky pulling the door shut with just the key in the lock, it kept sliding out of the lock before I could snib it shut. Unreliable internet, it kept disconnecting.

Loved the quiet vibe in the evenings

Hele goeie locatie in veilige en mooie wijk. Kamer zag er mooi uit. Fijn dat er 24 uur per dag receptie is. Een klein binnenplaatsje om te zitten.

Eerste dagen waren veel sanitaire voorzieningen gesloten. Wc is in de douche dus echt wachten op een toilet of douchebezoek. Zuinig met water maar het duurde lang voordat het warm werd. Gehorig en warm op de kamer. Geen keuken of waterkoker om koffie of thee te maken.

Wir haben extra ein Zimmer mit einem eigenen Badezimmer gebucht und haben ein Zimmer mit einem Gemeinschaftsbad bekommen. Das Personal war unfreundlich. Auf der Bettwäsche waren Flecken, durch die Wände hört man alles. Die Dusche war oft kalt, die Gemeinschaftsbäder sind schlecht ausgestattet.
