I made a last minute booking for a 2 night stay here and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is relatively new so I was immediately relieved as I have allergies and can’t often tolerate some of the older hotels. The front desk employee Ciara was lovely and efficient. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I lost my room key while running around and she remembered me immediately and easily able to set me up with a new one.

We booked this by mistake. We thought we were at Hyatt Place in downtown Royal Oak. It was very late at night. We were told that we were at Hyatt House two miles north! Had to call our relative to come back and collect us and take us to Hyatt House. The lobby is lovely, staff are superb, breakfast was excellent. But the rooms are of “brutal architecture”. Grey, chunky, wide spaces to accommodate wheelchairs. Not cozy and inviting. Lighting is fluorescent and cold. Yuck. Not surprised as a big hospital nearby. Probably for longer term stays. DID NOT LIKE THE ROOM.

All of the staff were encountered were so kind! The front desk clerk pushed a wheel chair bound guest to their room, another staff member volunteered to get ice for a guest, little things that make a difference! Hotel was also immaculate and housekeeping was very nice as well!!!!

New building and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and beds were comfortable. I would stay here again! Not far from downtown for events (we went to a concert).
