The Lavender Stay by Cambridge City Centre

I honestly can't praise this host enough. Long story short: We found ourselves stranded in the middle of the night because every single campsite was fully booked (we were honestly shocked by how unhelpful and inflexible they all were), so we decided to book an apartment for the night instead. The booking itself went smoothly, but then a message from the host popped up on Booking.com. I gave them a quick call and was told the listing shouldn't have been online in the first place—the bathroom needed repairs and, of course, no plumber was available over the weekend. But since it was already 10 PM, they offered us an alternative: a newly finished house that hadn't even been photographed yet. The price stayed exactly the same, and by just before 11 PM, we were being warmly welcomed at the property. After a truly miserable evening, it turned out to be a happy ending after all. Huge thanks for the amazing hospitality and support—the kids were absolutely thrilled!

It's within walking distance away from the center/college area. The flat is much better than it seems in the pictures. There is a bathroom inside the flat even though you can't see it in the pictures. It definitely deserves its price.
