There is a small park next door with lovely walks for the whole family. On the ground floor of the house is the kitchen and a large living room. A small toilet with washbasin. In the living room there is a large seating area for the whole family, in front of which there is an attractive wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. In the kitchen, the traditional, nostalgic kitchen fronts have been retained, while the technical equipment has been brought up to modern standards. Up the stairs are two bedrooms, one of which, with a double bed, serves as a passageway to the shower room with washbasin and washing machine. The second bedroom has three single beds. Outside on the property there is also a small summer house with additional sleeping space, ideal if, for example, teenagers or snorers are travelling with you. There is a sofa bed downstairs. Up a steep flight of stairs, there are also two low loungers with mattresses under the sloping roof and directly on the floor. There is no running water and no heating. The property offers several beautiful seating areas for the sunny hours of the day. Children are sure to enjoy the various play equipment (at their own risk!). There is also an outdoor shower. A covered barbecue area is something very special. Very quiet location. Fishing only 30 metres from the house. There is only a steep staircase to the Allkoven in the guest house. Playground equipment is used at your own risk! Mariannelund is well known to lovers of Astrid Lindgren's children's books, so you can also discover Michels Katthult and Bullerby here, as well as visit Astrid Lindgren's Värld in Vimmerby, only about 16 km away. Mariannelund also has a candy factory and a film town where you can marvel at some of the sets from the classic Astrid Lindgren films. There are numerous swimming and fishing lakes in the area around Mariannelund. In Lake Skruven you can fish for previously released rainbow trout. A fishing licence is required here before you can cast your hook into the water from one of the jetties that surround the lake shore.
