The Space:
Named for the shipping containers it's built from, this Pacific City home is a modern, sustainable coastal getaway unlike any other. Newly built in 2023, Shipwreck places you mere steps from the beach - and gives you a sleek and polished retreat to return to each afternoon.
This tiny home was locally built by Oregon's own Relevant Building Company, which specializes in sustainable living. It boasts a prime location in Pacific City, with the south public beach access a quarter-mile away (about seven minutes on foot) and the north public beach access within three-quarters of a mile.
Spanning 700 square feet of all-new furnishings, this home is ideal for a couple or two, a small family, or a solo traveler exploring the Oregon Coast. We welcome up to two dogs to join you, provided they are housebroken. Your dogs will have access to water and food bowls, dedicated dog towels, waterproof blankets, and a fenced yard equipped with pet waste disposal bags for cleaning up after your pup.
After a gorgeous day at the Cape Kiwanda beach, the home of the other haystack rock, return to Shipwreck to barbeque on the deck, swap stories around the firepit, and relax amidst its cool, contemporary decor. The home features a chic, well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a versatile dining table suitable for board games or puzzles, and TVs in both the living room and primary bedroom. The home is equipped with WiFi and Hulu Live streaming for guests to enjoy, and both TVs allow guests to log in to their own streaming platforms, such as Netflix.
Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Two dogs permitted so long as the guests agree to a zero-evidence pet waste policy.

This was by far the most thoughtfully equipped rental we have ever stayed in! We had a question and the property manager came over right away; she also provided helpful hints to make our stay even more pleasant. It was spotless and very comfortable! Great streaming. 5 min walk to a stunning beach although you have to cross the road to get there. There is a deck in back and a small fenced-in side yard. We walked the beach, drove the 3 capes loop and did the the Lookout Cape hike. Gorgeous though muddy but nothing the washer and dryer in the property couldn’t fix.

Property lacks curb appeal. The yard could look better lawn is dead. Fire pit is in front but too noisy to sit out there. Would have been great in the back patio with a propane pit. Couch is terribly uncomfortable smells like a dog.
Amenities were amazing! They thought of everything. Ice maker does not work. Bed is super comfortable! Walking trails everywhere. Too bad it’s on such a busy street.
