Not too much of a negative review .. We understood that the property still needed some work and appreciated that it was a work in progress. However, the garden could perhaps have been better secured so that we could safely let our pets out. As one of them is quite an escape artist, I didn’t feel confident leaving the doors open, particularly during the summer heat. A more secure, enclosed garden would have made the stay much more comfortable for us and our pets. The parking space is quite limited and is realistically only suitable for two small cars.

Parc en Creet Cottage in St Ives is one of those places that feels instantly memorable—not because it’s pristine and clean, but because of its wonderfully quirky charm. The cottage has a slightly eclectic, lived-in character that gives it personality in spades. It’s not an ideal layout but that’s part of the appeal—it feels relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely homely. What really stands out is the space. There’s plenty of room to spread out, making it ideal for families or groups. You never feel on top of each other, and there’s a good balance between shared areas and places to unwind quietly. The amenities are excellent too—everything you need is there, and it’s clear the place is set up for comfort and practicality rather than just looks. Location-wise, it strikes a great balance. It’s about a 20-minute walk to several beautiful beaches, which makes it easy to dip in and out of the classic St Ives seaside experience without being right in the thick of the crowds. Even better, we stumbled across a fantastic fish and chip shop just 7 minutes away—an absolute highlight and dangerously convenient. Parking is a big bonus here, with space for two cars, which is no small thing in St Ives. The outdoor area is another real plus: there’s a covered section that’s perfect if the weather turns (which it inevitably can), and a grassy patch that’s ideal for relaxing in the sun when it behaves. All in all, Parc en Creet Cottage isn’t about sleek perfection—it’s about comfort, character, and practicality. If you’re after a place with personality, space, and a great base for exploring St Ives, it’s a solid choice.
