Ideally located, quiet and peaceful. Relaxing stay. Clean and spacious. Very homely and cosy. Host was very helpful. Bed was so comfortable with a good choice of pillows.
Could choose between central heating or the use of the log burner. Check in instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Great location to explore Eastern Lakes and Eden Valley without any crowds. Great to be able to walk from the front door onto the Lowther Estate to explore. Easy access from M6/ A66. Cottage spotless clean, well equipped kitchen. Lovely log burner which was appreciated as the weather was not great. We would definitely stay again.
As others have mentioned, a stand up shower would have been ideal although a perfectly good shower attachment on bath for washing hair etc ( and can appreciate that the age and ceiling heights of the cottage would make shower plumbing tricky). A couple of throws in the lounge would be easy cosy touches.
