About this house rental
The large, secure garden overlooks the woods and is perfect for dogs. It’s quiet and private, yet only a short stroll from village shops and pubs - the best of both worlds.
Set back from the street behind a private wall and gate, the house opens into a spacious hallway leading to a warm, comfortable living room with an open fire, sofa, armchair, and TV with Netflix and all the usual streaming apps. The large kitchen and dining area are open plan, with French doors opening onto a long, secure garden that overlooks the woods - beautiful even in the quieter months, when the seating is stored away and the plants are tucked down for winter. It’s ideal for dog walks or simply enjoying the peaceful view.
Upstairs, you’ll find a generous bathroom with a powerful shower and a deep bath with views over the garden. The bedroom is bright and calm, with a king-size bed, desk space, plenty of storage, antique furniture, blackout blinds, and soft furnishings that make it feel instantly at home.
There’s also a great-sized second double bedroom, featuring a very comfortable fold-out ottoman double bed (with a mattress topper and plush bedding), a small fireplace, built-in storage, and a window with both a blind and curtains - cosy, stylish, and perfect for extra guests. Photos of this room will be added soon.
There’s free and ample parking right outside on the street, as well as off-street parking just along the little lane next door.
Perfectly placed on the edge of the Cotswolds, the house is around 10 minutes by car (or 20 minutes by bus) from Oxford city centre, and just a short drive to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock. Burford, Daylesford, and Chipping Norton are all within easy reach, as are plenty of walks, pubs, and pretty Cotswold villages.
