Cruise Stop Guest House

The key situation is not confusing as another review stated, it is just not standard for the US to have these kinds of locking systems where you have to use a key to physically open the door instead of unlocking a handle. But that should not deter someone from staying here, after we did it once it was fine. The room was kept very nicely and we felt we had the perfect amount of space. We walked from the train station and to the cruise terminal. It did feel a little out of place walking with our suitcases from the train station so I would have maybe preferred to plan transportation from there to the room but it worked just fine not a long walk.

There was ample coffee available. I would suggest the pre arrival information be a little more detailed. Our UBER driver also had a little trouble with parking and getting into the building if you go out is quite difficult. We came back from dinner about 8:30-9:00 pm and you have to get buzzed in. The person who manages that for this unit is not dependable (it was cold) and a little rude about it. We had wanted to explore the area but felt trapped in our room after 8.

The room was spotless, and a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bare bones but all that you need. walking distance from the cruise ship terminal or the train terminal. Great food nearby!

Everything was great at this property. Close to the port and train station, so walking to each was easy. Staff was helpful with check in process. Only downside was the AC didn’t seem to work too well, so it was a bit warm, but wasn’t bad at night with the window open. Overall great property and great experience.
