The Organic Cotswolds Shepherds Hut

Very cosy with all the basics, lovely location.

Nothing except it could do with more loo roll, a bathmat and a dish brush/scourer :)

Wunderbare Ruhe, man sitzt in einer grünen Oase in den Wäldern. Wenn überhaupt Geräusche, dann wecken einen die zwitschernden Vögel und als ich die Tür aufklappte, verscheuchte ich ein Reh aus „meiner“ Obstwiese. Der Hut ist schlicht aber gemütlich! Daneben stehen eine Kompost-Toilette und eine versteckte Outdoor-Dusche. Es gibt aber noch eine Dusche in einem nahen Schuppen, die ich prima fand. Es hatte irgendwie Camping-Charme . Nur ohne andere Camper. Und hübscher. Also es ist kein Luxus - aber gut für die Seele!

Loved the location, loved the fact that it backs onto that beautiful meadow and woodland. Shepherds hut itself is beautiful and rustic and the facilities are great too. Loved the little touches like the Bluetooth speaker, ice box and kitchenette. Mark was a very welcoming host. Very peaceful and lots of wildlife. Would love to come back!

Windows weren't opened before our arrival (during a heatwave) so it was like a furnace in the shepherds hut and no fan. Hooks or a wooden bench for clothes and towel etc in the outside shower would be helpful. Honestly?.. this feels pricey at £120 per night. Feels like this is more a £80-£90 range kind of stay (no breakfast, very basic/rustic facilities) but still a lovely and relaxing stay regardless.
