Hi Stay Jongno

We stayed at Hi Stay and it was really wonderful. Everything was easy from the beginning. We used the self check-in kiosk, and it was simple and fast. It felt like using technology from the future. Honestly, this place feels like it is from the future, not the present. 🚀 The location is amazing. Everything is close and easy to reach. But the most surprising thing is how quiet the room is. When you open the window you can hear the city, but when you close it… it becomes completely silent. 🤫 You hear almost nothing. It feels so peaceful, like you can even hear your own breathing. There is also a very nice coffee machine, and the coffee is free. ☕ That made our mornings really nice. Another great thing is the washing machine and dryer. 🧺 They are very good and easy to use, which is perfect if you stay for many days. Everything feels clean, modern, and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here. If you want a place that is quiet, modern, and in a great location, I really recommend Hi Stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For us, it deserves more than 100 stars! 🌟

Pros: - someone was very responsive when I messaged through Agoda app for help - clean bed and bathroom - on demand coffee and water filter provided - free laundry (only one washer and dryer for the 10(?) rooms though - towels were plush Cons: - although Booking.com had this listed as 24hr front desk, there was no physical person to store my luggage before check-in. I ended up messaging through the app and someone responded with a door code and granted me permission to leave my luggage in an area. I had to figure out how to change the (provided) lock code on my own because the luggage was just out in the open and left unattended. - bathroom smells like sewage. I didn’t realize what the smell was until I closed the bathroom door for an entire day and realized that was why my room smelled - refrigerator was not cleaned out prior to my arrival, something was in a mystery bag (I assumed food). That made me question cleanliness of my room - bed was super hard and uncomfortable for my several night stay - shower water temp was super finicky - water would get hot and cold randomly and never maintained the same temp through my showers even if I did not move the dial - I wish they didn’t openly provide unlimited single use plastic bottled water for guests to grab. Make people use the water filter. The single-use plastic waste is horrible. Location is decent - close to Insadong and about 20min walk to Myeondong. Mostly due to the uncomfortable bed and sewage smell, I cannot recommend this “hotel”.
