The property is in a great location, very clean and comfortable beds. The owner was very responsive and provided many amenities. Would highly recommend!

Great location, just a ten minute walk to the station and town. Lovely and light property. All rooms are great sizes and everything is catered for - tea, coffee, toiletries. I found the host Manu super helpful in the run up to the stay providing all necessary info. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back!

Firstly, I would like to begin my saying the host was very responsive during our stay - responding to any messages within a few minutes, and I can tell they are very passionate about their property. The location was great in that it is a short, simple walk from the train station, and there is a nice big Waitrose practically opposite. The townhouse is very spacious, with four large bedrooms and two large bathrooms (plus sofa beds) we never felt like we were on top of each other as a group of 7! The kitchen being seperate to the lounge is particularly handy when you have members of the group sleeping on sofa beds, as this minimises disruption with different wake/bed times. The beds and bedding were also really comfortable. Finally, I was very pleased that my damages deposit was returned in full the day after we checked out.

Firstly, I do not like that a damages deposit is required via bank transfer - I have never come across this with any other booking.com property, or AirBnB for that matter so I was very hesitant about this, and I did almost cancel my booking a few months beforehand, but my friends were keen to stay at this property. I did also find this a bit confusing then when I immediately noticed a large stain on the living room carpet upon entering the property, as the damages deposit gives off the impression it will be immaculate. A window in one of the bedrooms was broken prior to our stay, and this meant that we couldn't close it. Whilst the host responded immediately, was already aware of it and was happy for us to shut it to (and said it was being fixed the following week), this did make us worry a bit about the safety of our belongings etc. As there were 7 of us booked to stay at the property, it would have been nice if there were 7x tumblers, large plates, wine glasses, prosecco flutes as opposed to 4. Similarly, as we were staying during a very hot summer, there were only 2 fans provided to be divided across 7 guests sleeping in 4 bedrooms and the living room. This meant that the majority of the group struggled to sleep as it was just so hot (obviously the heat wave is out of their control, but I would expect 1 fan per sleeping space). The fold of the sofa beds hadn't been cleaned and were covered in crumbs, and the bedroom bins also hadn't been emptied prior to our stay. Finally, it was asked that we leave a 10/10 review and save any constructive criticism for private messages with the host. I disagree with this approach, and this makes me distrust the reviews that I based my booking on. Reviews must be representative as this manages expectations. Despite this, we did enjoy our stay and we feel that the above can easily and quickly fixed by the hosts to make future guests' experiences 10/10.
