Highly recommend if you need a comfortable base for Oxford without being in the thick of things

The location is great, 10 mins walk from the amenities of the Summertown neighbourhood, an array of buses to get into central oxford, good parking on site, a fully comprehensive kitchen and comfortable and stylish livingroom area, as well as good sized bedroom with a comfy bed.

A great place to stay while in Oxford for a longer visit or while on business.

The place was very good and the staff were really great. I had good interactions with all of the crew. Super friendly and took good care of us.

No complaints. Place could use a little more light but overall very happy this was where we landed for 3 1/2 weeks before moving into our full time apartment.

Great location, parking and close to a bus stop. Quiet but close to shops and restaurants.

The bathrooms felt a little tired. Lighting wasn’t ideal, and the shower cubicle was very small.

Great stay and convenient for everything

We are parents of a new Oxford student and recently stayed in a 2-bedroom suite on the ground floor at Vanbrugh Suites for 4 nights to help our child settle in. The location is excellent, especially if you have a car. There is free parking right at the door, and it's just a 10-minute drive to the center of Oxford and a 5-minute drive to a large M&S food store, which is great for cooking or buying ready-to-eat meals. The suite features gas stoves, enough plates for 4-6 people, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Check-in is convenient, as they send the door code via email in advance. i We'll definitely stay here again for future Oxford visit. Some said 'park-n-ride' to Oxford. Personally we feel it's too troublesome. The parking can be expensive, e.g. near St John's it costs around 7 pounds to park 1 to 2 hours. But there're cheaper parkings around Oxford, which needs around 10 minutes walk to the center.

Just some minor issues: The bedding is comfortable. It would be great if the bed could be larger (e.g., 1.8m wide). The current size is acceptable for two adults but feels a bit crowded. The frying pan has quite a few scratches. Please ensure it is replaced regularly.

We had a good stay

The apartment was comfortable and nicely decorated kitchen was equipped.

There is only one sofa so for 3 people there is not enough comfortable seating in the lounge. One or two arm chairs are necessary.

Comfortable and affordable stay

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Came for 2 weeks with coworkers.

Communication - didn’t realise that someone would come to change our linens. Was nice but would’ve liked to know in advance. Kitchen nonstick pots were scratched, I wish they had stainless steel instead which is safer. Not much in the area, you need to walk to Summertown (15 min) for anything. They also have our check in details to another guest who we then had to help check in to their own apartment. Not great for security!

Conveniently located. Bus stop is just across the road. All basic appliances are there. Communication with Short let Spaces is easy and all issues are addressed timely.

The suite given was very different from the pics and actually a different one than what was promised on Booking.com

Dreadful experience

We booked a flat in Oxford and got relocated in a cottage 1h before check in time outside Oxford at 45min walk from the closest shop and far away from convenient public transport. We were told we would get a night free of charge that we did not get. We stayed 2 nights instead of one week as the cottage was too far from everything for us to stay there and we were charged for the cleaning fees that we would have paid for 1 week for the 2 nights.

A convenient comfortable place for a short break in Oxford

The flat was very clean and comfortable and in a great location - we would stay again. Excellent bus service into Oxford and convenient for cafes and takeaways.

We were provided with the incorrect key code to get in which was a bit frustrating. There are only 3 comfy seats in the lounge which is odd for a 4 person apartment. Could do with more cutlery please and also a shelf or some hooks in the bathrooms for toiletries. There is one parking space and we had two cars, there is no on-street local parking for non-residents during the day so we had to use the park and ride, not a problem but it would have been useful to know this beforehand. Access to the patio is through one of the bedrooms and there wasn't any patio furniture when we were there in March.

Great property with a very good value of money

- Very spacious property, we got flat number 1, which is very good as expected - Very clean - 2 bathrooms - nice and safe neighborhood - bus stop is exactly across the property

- No bath soap and shampoo at both bathrooms - No frying spatula and frying pan is a bit sticky, but still within acceptable range

Superb

Really well equipped kitchen: proper cooker and decent oven, microwave, fridge and freezer (latter not in the property description), and a wide range of cooking implements and pans. The lounge area was comfortable and modern. The location was close enough to walk into Oxford City centre (and on a good bus route) but easily accessed from the A40 and M40 even at peak times. Communication from Vanbrugh was clear and the pictures showing parking and recycling very good.

Apartments have keypad entry locks; one apartment consistently took 3 or 4 attempts to enter. One apartment was a bit hotter than the others for no apparent reason - no heating switched on!

Good location on bus route with bus stops into Oxford very nearby. Very clean apartment and well appointed. Quiet, even though on a bus route/main road as the bedrooms are at the back . Our apartment was on the second floor.

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. A bus stop is just across the road and the buses run regularly into town. It takes 10 minutes and a day ticket for the city area costs just £4:30. All communication with Short Let Space was efficient and friendly.

The off road parking was a little tight if people turn up in huge SUVs, but it was manageable.

We were assigned room5 which is much smaller than other room due to the 3rd floor is just under slope roof into the room. If possible avoid room 5&6, any other room are spacious.
