Comfortable and convenient stay!

The property was easy to find by car and public transport and simple and quick to get in and out of Oxford centre - there was a bus route just a couple minutes walk from the house. Plus a pub just down the road, easy walking distance. Quiet location. The house was extremely spacious, more so than we thought! Very comfortable and warm. We stayed whilst on a conference in Oxford so spent the evenings at the house very comfortably.

Unfortunately in the master bedroom, the boiler was very loud when we had the heating on one night as it was pretty cold. We boosted the heating ourselves but it was hard to sleep and stay toasty during the night in the middle of winter. The heating was on a set timer for morning and evening from the owners so would advise leaving it as is for less noise during the night! Otherwise, a very quiet location :)

Very enjoyable and convenient.

Lovely and quiet. Great to be able to boost the central heating quickly and effectively. Loved the decor and the cleanliness of the cottage. The Harry Potter cupboard was a quirky surprise. The local pub with nice food was very convenient, as was the great bus service into Oxford.

We found it very tricky to find. Had a problem with Oxford Road and hadn’t realised there were 2 parts to it. Once we came across the ’other’ (correct) part of Oxford Road we were able to follow the directions given. We were concerned when we first saw the exterior of the cottage as it appears rather dark and a little neglected from the track. Parking area a bit of a hazard - potential for twisted ankles! However we were delighted that it was so nice inside.

Great place.

Nice quite location. Plenty of parking places. Nice walk into Oxford. A couple of pubs nearby, both dog friendly.

A few small suggestions to improve... Windows needed cleaning, and general tidying up outside, the place looks untidy. An extra tea towel would have been good and a cloth to wipe table and surfaces down. Heat protecting mats to put on table for hot dishes, I was worried about burning the table. Just minor things didn't spoil our stay at all.

Great location,private and spacious well equipped property very clean, light and airy

good location bus stop and pub nearby. Lots of space in the cottage, well equipped and had everything we needed Tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as toiletries. good outdoor space including hammock.host had given thought to what would be needed in the property. would stay again and rrecommend to my friends

lot of fruit on ground up to property which meant wasps etc had to navigate carefully. family bathroom could have a grab rain and maybe a non slip bath mat and free standing toilet roll holder but thats maybe just me .

Clean and spacious farmhouse cottage

Lovely renovated farmhouse cottage. Spacious and well equipped farmhouse kitchen . Comfortable lounge with secure back garden. Lots of parking. Family stay for daughters’ graduation . Perfect location. Short taxi ride into town centre. Would definitely recommend for a family event - so much nicer than staying in 3 rooms in a hotel or guest house. Lots of extras supplied that you would usually need to bring when renting a cottage.

An excellent venue for an Old Pals Re-Union. Off street parking for three cars was a bonus.

All the faciliities were very good. Although some of the furnishings were rather low for someone with arthritic knees. Kitchen was well equipped, Bathrooms were well appointed. Everything we needed was there.

Some instructions on how to operate the en-suite shower would have been handy, e.g temperature settings, pressure, etc. However, worked it out eventually.

Loads of space, very well laid out and decorated. Location was great for popping into Oxford.

Cleanliness was not the best. Dog poo in the garden, discarded cigarette butts and glass around the decking, lots of cobwebs and dead flies inside that suggested cleaning had been a rush job prior to to our arrival.

Really enjoyed the shared space. We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy eating, drinking and lazing on the sofas. Also short 40 min walk into Oxford so we didn’t have to drive at all

Difficult to find although directions were good. Need sign closer to the road. Glad we read the online review regarding bed arrangements as there isn’t an additional single in the double room, it’s on the landing and not appropriate for our group. We had to use the living room as a bedroom. Beware the shower in the bathroom it’s not for tall people.

Fun weekend away with friends

The cottage is nice appointed and the beds were very comfy. The main bedroom has an ensuite with a good power shower. There were lots of utensils and the kitchen diner is good. There is lots of parking. If you are going to use a taxi firm then use 101 cars at the station they are much cheaper. Oxford river cruises was a fun trip. There is a tv with free view on the lounge.

PLEASE READ The bedroom description is incorrect. You state there is a double bed and sofa bed in one of the rooms.and there is not. The sofa bed is actually a futon and it is on the landing! It's isn't in a bedroom and was therefore unusable by our group as there is no privacy. There is a single bed I the 3rd bedroom. The property is not easy to see from the road. The sign is overgrown and as you drive up there is another large house which has been built on the garden.
