Convenient, but with a few extra small touches would have been even better.

Great location, clean.

Given the price paid, I would have expected a few touches - such as bedside lights (neither room had them), there were a few bulbs missing in kitchen lights, spme if the mugs in the kitchen were chipped.

We had a wonderful time in Oxford and felt at home here!

Very spacious house. Spacious bedrooms, large bathrooms. Plenty of closet space. Quiet location with two private parking spaces and ample on-street parking. Short walk to the bus stop, with excellent connections to the city. Basic amenities in the house. Dishwasher, washing machine. Towels were provided and clean. Due to a cancellation by another provider, we booked the house on the same day. The contact was excellent, and everything went very smoothly and with great hospitality. Thank you so much!

Basically, the house was fine, it just needed a few renovations here and there. The kitchen floor needed a bit of painting here and there. The windows needed a thorough cleaning. And what really needed to be replaced was the TV. Greetings from 2010, the TV is really out of date.

Awful host, worst experience in a decade.

The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood, 5 minute walk from a bus stop that takes you straight into the centre of Oxford. Well equipped kitchen, other amenities were passable. There is absolutely no way to fit 12 people in this house though, it's comfortable for 6 but that' about the limit.

The booking process was an absolute disaster, by far the worst experience I've had in over a decade on Booking.com. The host company cancelled my booking AFTER I had paid for it in full, forced me to make a second booking with another credit card, then forced me to pay an additional £250 deposit on top of that. Very dodgy practices. When arriving at the house, it turned out the access code given wasn't the correct one, so couldn't get in, and no one was present at the property. Sitting in the pouring rain on the front porch, I had to call several people at the rental company to finally obtain the correct access code. Every single aspect of this experience was a nightmare: from the booking itself, to getting into the house, to gaining access to the wifi.

The beds were not made up in the specifications requested by email, kitchen had two dirty tea towels, only seats for 7 people although house slept 12. No hot water!!!!!! Four showers but no hot water. Had the man out late first night then on second and last day which was the wedding day of my daughter with 10 people to get ready. Water pouring out of bathroom sink on first floor to kitchen, eventually after three visits decided there was an issue with the boiler. Plumber came and tried to fix, working in the kitchen where we needed access to and r the water was going everywhere. Eventually as we needed to greet ready for the wedding we asked them to leave and come back when we were out, they were angry but eventually left leaving us only water in a kettle and a basin for 10 people. Not the best start to someone’s special day. This might be a one off but I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here. It’s very expensive for the condition even if the heater is working. Smelt musty, was newly painted and stinking of paint. Terrible experience

Comfortable, clean and convenient

Bedrooms were very comfortable - a decent amount of space, very friendly host and very close to public transport that takes you into Oxford city centre (where it is impossible to park!). Lots of bathrooms made it great for friends to share.

Living room was quite small for the number of people but we were out and about mostly. Kitchen equipment was OK but not a big enough pan to cook a meal for all. One bathroom must have had a drainage problem causing a smell - we let the host know. Only one dishwasher tablet left.

Expensive for what it is.

The location was fine for us as a smallish group of people.

The place was advertised as for up to 12 people but the living area was only good for 6. Totally out of balance. One bedroom should be converted to a proper living room with seating for 10. Actually to watch TV, a maximum of seven seated was possible. To eat, a maximum of 6 around the table is the maximum for the comfort of eating. The kitchen was OK but for somethings there was not twelve of everything. The fridge was small. Fortunately, due to the current circumstances, we were only a max of 8 for one night. The whole place was scruffy and several lights did not work.

Exceptional

Plenty of plates and cutlery. Velma and David are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. If we are Oxford way again we would definitely use any of their properties again.

Our only niggle is you can only fit 6 around the dining table and the outside seating area could be vastly improved. Still nice to sit outside but you have to take the dining chairs. Would recommend this property to stay in if you are a large group and visiting the area
