All good except the lack of loo roll
Location and cleanliness
There was no toilet roll in my room And I didn’t know whether I should have any or not because of the style of place it was. I didn’t know how to contact reception to find out without going down and I was knackered

Convenient for me as it was 5 mins from my daughter . It was a large apartment clean and comfortable. road clean and com
It was convenient location for me. The rooms were clean and comfortable. As good as a holiday Inn and a comfortable bed. I am gluten free so apart from the yoghurt most of the breakfast options included didn’t apply to me. It did have a small kitchen in the apartment.
On one night the heating for that block seemed to be off and the room was very cold. It was set to 16 for the rooms but there is a small electric heater. With nearly all the students gone for Xmas it was quiet apart for one night when the people above were thumping around at 5.00am. I imagine if there were a lot of students in residence it could have been noisy. I would have liked a kettle in the room to make a hot drink but there were vending machines on the ground floor.

Rubbish.
The guy on reception did carry my suitcase up to the first floor because the lift wasn't working. He was friendly but see below for the rest - the organisation was hopeless.
When I arrived I could not get in the front door which was locked and it was raining. This was despite knocking loudly on the window which was in full view of the reception area. There was no working bell or buzzer. Eventually someone let me in but they had no immediate record of my booking and took quite a while to find it, even when I showed them the email confirmation. They did not seem to be expecting me and had no room ready, Eventually the guy on reception who was doing his best but juggling several things at once showed me up to the first floor but when he went into the room it was not clean or ready for use. So we went all the way back downstairs by which time I was quite anxious as I had an evening event to go to. The whole thing was so disorganised I lost all faith that they could provide a suitable room so I managed to rebook at another hotel. I have not yet managed to get a refund for this booking despite a lot of communication with booking.com - who took my payment in advance on behalf of the property - and I remain disappointed and fed up about it.

Nice studio room with a comfy bed in a convenient location.
Convenient location, nice friendly staff, plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, a ten minute uber-ride away from city centre, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, cooker, fridge and microwave in room.
The only issue was the fridge, which produced loud noises whenever it started its cooling cycle during the night and, being hardwired in, couldn’t be switched off — earplugs to the rescue.

Handy stay, will stay again
Great room. Good location for the Brundell social club for gigs. Nice hot shower. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night. Friendly staff. Handy breakfast.
More loo roll would have been good

Nice room but a few bits missing
The location was pretty convenient and the studio room was modern and clean with a comfy bed, clean towels, and a balcony. Nice and quiet and the pastries for breakfast were nice.
There was a guy covering the front desk when I arrived (a resident student presumably?) who didn't seem to know anything about the place - couldn't tell me on which floor the room was even. There was no toilet roll, and the room was very cold with no obvious way to heat it. The coffee machine was broken one morning. It was altogether fine but quite expensive and I wish I'd gone with a proper hotel.

It was a jolly good time! Lol
The staff was awesome. The coffee machine and the breakfasts in the morning, chocolate croissants the juices. All fantastic.
Nothing I didn't like!
