ONE on Michelle

The cottage is beautifully decorated with artistic flair. It is very clean and comfortable. I loved the 2 palm trees with the owls at the back and awakening to the myriad of bird song. We enjoyed the fact that the host had Netflix and not just DSTV. This meant we could watch on her big screen instead of my laptop .We loved the artistic back patio with all the plants .It was lovely sitting there with your early morning hot drink or chilling there over dinner on a warm night .The location is very convenient to many attractions. We enjoyed relaxing at the beach by Granny's pool and scenic hiking at Zimbali estate .We also enjoyed the scenic promenade walk and hike into a nature reserve at Umhlanga .I can recommend the Oyster Box Hotel Bar with an outside patio for scenic views and delicious food and you can order from their bar and restaurant menu. It is an experience to go there. I can recommend One on Michelle as a lovely and enjoyable place to stay.

The only suggestion is to have a big bucket or outside wash basin for washing such as sandy beach towels ,swimming costumes, clothing etc. There is a very convenient pull out washing line at the side.

The rooms were spacious, clean and well-decorated. It had the basic facilities needed for a short stay. The property was located in a safe area and well-secured.

Although the property had a beautiful al fresco dining area, we were unable to use it due to flying ants at night and monkeys during the day. Unfortunately, food items could not be stored in the cupboards or countertops due to the large number of crawling ants. If you plan to stay here, I would suggest carrying ant powder or insect repellent. We also found that the lounge couches were uncomfortable, particularly for a family of four.
