Hotel Sharlota

Great value for the price,polite staff Recommended!

Locație la care s-a ajuns repede, hotel curat, cu mic dejun foarte bun.

Nu am nimic de spus.

The receptionist was lovely and the design of the hotel is quite beautiful. Great coffee and there is an enormous cake shop right next to the hotel. The view is also a plus.

The impression of the hotel is not the best when you first arrive in the 'parking lot'. It's actually a waste ground with weeds and garbage. The hotel has in fact better parking spots but I've only seen 4 - good luck finding one of the 4 that's available. Inside, the cleaning was superficial at best (hair on the pillows and in the bathroom, spider web). Breakfast was not the best since the omlette seemed made almost entirely from egg white.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly nice, with excellent English. She told us what to see in Skopje and booked a taxi. She was the highlight of the hotel. The room was large and clean.

The parking lot was a bit of a scary place, littered and uninviting, but the worst part was the bed. The double bed turned out to be two singles pushed together. The mattresses were lumpy, and one of us kept sliding into the gap between the beds throughout the night. We were given plenty of pillows, but no blankets; there was only one duvet cover, and we were freezing. The room had no air conditioning or other temperature control.The entire hotel smelled strongly of artificial perfume, including our bedding. We opened the window to block out the strong smell, so it was cool (we like cool nights, but with regular bedding). We woke up feeling sleepy, sore, tired, cold, and with a sore throat. Early in the morning, when we couldn't sleep, we started looking around the room more (in the evening we just wanted to sleep). We found unturned duvets in the closet and a non-working heater that didn't work (there were no instructions on how to use it either). I don't recommend.
